With ease of returns and quick deliveries, it makes for a great option to shop for new items to refresh any space in your home.

How to Search for the Best Home Decor Items from Amazon

When you begin to shop Amazon for the best home decor items, here are a few tips to keep in mind!

Try to search for companies that produce-high quality decor items. Look for 4+ stars while browsing product options, or ones with a bunch of reviews. A lot of times, consumer photos are included in the reviews so you can get a real sense of what some items look like. Amazon also has a really fun feature for some of its furniture and decor where you can actually look at what the item would look like in your own home. You’ll just need to turn on your camera and scan over the space you’re considering for the Amazon purchase!

If you’ve found yourself shopping in designer shops but would rather purchase with Prime Shipping (sometimes at a bigger discount), check the labels to see what brand the item was distributed from and look it up on Amazon. You can find some of the best brands from designer shops in this post as well to give you some ideas.

Amazon also has a feature where you can take a photo from Pinterest, etc., that you’ve saved for inspo. You plug the image into the search box within your app and it shows you similar items! Think Google Reverse Image Search but with shopping!

Another trick that can help you score a great find is to scroll to the bottom when you pull up an item. Amazon will automatically show you other items, and, often, this can be a great way to find pieces that might not show up in the rest of your search.

A few keywords to look for to yield a better search: micro-looped, hand-woven, wool, and flat-weave. As far as brands to search, here are a few that have a great selection: Loloi, Momeni, and Safavieh.

Outdoor Furniture and Decor

Amazon can be a great source to spruce up your outdoor space. Some of the best items to find for outdoors are: patio chairs, planters, umbrellas, and outdoor rugs. Searching up reliable brands for these can get you a better result. A couple of the CASS favorites are Christopher Knight Home and Safavieh!

Lighting

Amazon is a great place to shop lighting for your home. They have great sconces, chandeliers, flush mounts, and table lamps. Search for these brands when looking for lighting: Safavieh, House of Troy (a favorite for picture lights), Creative Co-Op, and Jonathan Y.

How to Shop Furniture on Amazon

Believe it or not, you can even find great furniture pieces on Amazon. Some of the best furniture pieces are cabinets or tables – anything from coffee to dining to accent.

A few more favorites to shop Amazon for your home are curtains, kitchen finds, pillow inserts, and books.

For curtains, my favorite brand is TWOPAGES. You’ll love that they are great quality and the price point. Amazon also is a go-to of mine for brass and black hardware, such as rods and rings.

For kitchen finds, brands like Creative Co-Op and Bloomingville have amazing selections. You can actually find some really great tea towels and hand towels by searching “fringed” or turkish kitchen towel.

When it comes to pillow inserts, Amazon is 100% the go-to for affordable, quality down or down-alternative inserts. Find everything from bedroom pillows (including Euro, Shams, etc) to throw pillow inserts. The prices are too good and often they come in a pack of 2!

And of course, the OG Amazon fave – books! Beautiful coffee table books can complete any space, and shopping them on Amazon is easy and convenient.
