Four Fall Updates for a Coastal Style Home

Fall Coastal Home Decor
Fall decor has become super popular. I would say it is second to Christmas. Coastal modern style is light and airy and lends itself to more cool colors like blue and gray, and fall decor usually has more warm tones. The good news is, you can easily add in some of the warmer tones of fall and merry it with the coastal style blues and grays. Here’s four fall coastal home decor updates for the coastal style home you can incorporate without breaking the bank.

1. Pillows
Pillows are a perfect place to add in some fall touches for a coastal-style home. I like to think about some warm tan-toned options, paired with some blues and grays. For pillows, I always think about a large-scale pattern, like stripes or a plaid. Then, you can add in a smaller scale pattern like a floral print. If you would like a third option, think about a more solid or super subtle pattern that almost looks solid. Varying blues, grays, and warm neutrals are the perfect fall backdrop. Here are some of my favorites I’m loving right now.
2. Art
Switching up artwork is another area where you can incorporate some different color tones. With so many great affordable options available now, you can switch up artwork on a budget, too. Some of my favorite places to shop for art are Collection Prints, Juniper Print Shop, BFF Print Shop, and Etsy. To keep a coastal feel, I like to pair prints that incorporate coastal elements like shorelines or coastal plants. I then pair these with abstract pieces that tie together the color scheme you are using. Check out these beautiful pieces that are great to update your space for fall:
3. Throw Blankets
I love a good throw blanket to curl up with on the sofa. Blankets are a great way to add subtle color and texture to a space. Draping them on your sofa, accent chairs or even a blanket ladder softens a room and makes it feel inviting. Adding in some texture with blankets is a perfect way to make a home feel a little cozier for the fall season. You can also use a good throw blanket in your outdoor spaces, too. There are great affordable options out there so you can use these wherever you’d like to make a cozier spot in your home!
4. Stems
Swapping out stems is one of my favorite fall decor updates. To keep the coastal style, think dried palms, pampas grass, and sea oat-style options. You can shop at places like Amazon and Etsy for some great options that are also very affordable. So, even if you plan to only keep them for a couple of months, it won’t be super expensive.
Fall is one of my favorite times of year to switch up our home decor. I love adding some of these elements to our home to create a cozy vibe. You can easily keep a coastal feel by thinking about your choices. You don’t have to go crazy with pumpkins (although that can be fun, too), and you can still create a fall vibe by adding textures that correlate to the cooler season. Have a happy fall y’all!! I hope you have fun incorporating all the fall coastal home decor into your coastal-style home.
