Design Client Update: New Build Coastal Farmhouse Bathroom

Coastal Farmhouse Bathroom Project Overview

Hello there! I am excited to update you on this new client project. This is one of the many bathrooms going in for this new build project. The client loves a coastal farmhouse style, but they were extremely overwhelmed when trying to make the selections to capture the look they wanted. The beauty of working with CASS Design Co. is that you can see the concepts and spaces and how they will work together so you can be sure to achieve the look you want. It has been so fun to put together these coastal farmhouse e-design bathroom looks and here are the details from one of my favorites.

Space Requirements

This bathroom was the in-law suite, and then later, the client decided to put an outdoor entrance so that this space could also be used for the pool. So, this meant that the feel needed to be casual enough for pool go-ers but formal enough to suit in-laws and guests. I knew that the client loved blues, so that was a perfect starting point for this design.

Design Elements

A beautiful muted blue West Elm Rug for the sink area that is actually indoor/outdoor was the starting point. Because of the indoor/outdoor feature, it’s a perfect choice for the pool bath function of the room. I knew the client loved painted cabinets and this BM Boothbay Gray color is a beautiful gray that almost reads blue. To give more of that modern farmhouse vibe, black hardware drawer pulls and knobs are used on the cabinets. A marble-look countertop in quartzite is durable and helps to keep the look classic. This chrome wide-set vintage faucet from Delta also maintains the timeless feel.

For the other selections, a white penny tile with a gray grout is a modern classic for the floor in this space. A marble look herringbone makes a pretty shower floor and white subway tile is another modern classic for the shower walls. The countertop material will be repeated in the shower for the seat. Coordinating chrome fixtures will help tie in the shower to the vanity.

Lastly, the addition of some coastal oversized art with wood frames and a warm wood vanity seat give off a coastal nod. And maybe my favorite piece in this coastal farmhouse bathroom is the vanity mirror. This jute beauty is perfect against white shiplap. And the black sconces in a modern shape help unify the cabinet hardware to the overall design.

Overall, I am in love with the look of this coastal farmhouse bathroom. It’s modern, classic, and coastal, plus it is a great dual-functioning space!!
